Teaching French as a designer
Education is a curious thing. When it came into my life, I did not realise that it might become so important, and even less how much of a part my design skills would have in this practice.
Activities are key. From laser cutting a scrabble board ( contact me for the AI file) for them to decorate, taking the children to the museum, to do some cooking with them, my language teaching fuelled my pupils interest by making sure the best part of learning was included in my lessons. I teach French in London, English in France. Adaptibility, for me, is the single most important aspect of the teacher's job. Depending on a student's age, interests, difficulties, I created a range on excercises, used all kinds of materials to give my students a real interest in learning.
For my students, I have created a range of different teaching material and methods, born from the observation of my students, with the designer brief approach. I have decided to allow for a few of these to be free to download and use. I would be happy to learn about such use thought my contact form .
